It's incredible to see how many good drummers are everywhere in this days!,

I want to share two pages that I discovered today of two friends that are very respected in the music community in Mexico, and both are great drummers.

The first is Waldo Madera ( waldomadera.com ), The last time I spoke with him he was "living la vida loca"......
I mean, touring like a mad man with Riky Martin.
In his page you can check some samples of his solo CD.
He record this CD like 10 years ago, but sound really goood, and what is impressing is that he not only composed everything, he also played all the bass parts.

The second is Alvaro Lopez ( latinsoulmusic.com ), he is a great drummer and producer...he is very involved in christian music, (he played in the drummers for jesus event the day before Vinnie). His page is in spanish, but you can check some good videos of a concert of his band in this link:

His style is more Pop and R&B, but check in the videos his take on Weckl's Tower of Inspiration, or Camilos "Caribe" (Caribean).

I know some too that are very good.

I don't know how many have heard of Brian Frasier-Moore but he's played for alot of big time names. Janet Jackson Usher... Now he's wprking with Christina Aguilera. He's one of my best friends uncle and this guy is my friends hero pretty much. He's pretty darn good.

I know some of ya'll here have heard of Eric Tribbit. If you where wondering how he got so darn good back in the day and sometimes today him and Brian would "shed" with a couple drum sets for days at a time(yes, days pretty much non-stop but a 3am Dennys run maybe) Eric says Brian is his idol too so go figure.

yeah, me and funkydrummer often mention erik tribett( I'm listening to him right now)he's definitely one of our current day hero's along with poogie bell, gene lake, lil john roberts and terreon gully. I've heard a fair bit about brian frasier-moore but not sure if I've heard his playing, so thanks for the link.

In 2002 I was playing in the house band in a talk show in Mexico, and Ricky went one day. I meet the percussionist..... I can't remember his name but I don't think it was Gabriel.

I think Lil John Roberts played in orlando not to long ago and my friend went backstage and all. Good times. Brian is also on Christina's album Stripped on the song "soar". The 2 videos on his website are pretty hott too. To bad her tour was canceled [img]frown.gif[/img] I was gonna go backstage in Tampa [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]

I just thought about when my friend record a shed up in Philly w/ Brian, Gerald Hayward, Eric(i think) and some really good local Philly guys that where just as good all on 5 brand new DW's Gerald got from DW and a bass, guitar, keys.. All playing till like 2-3am. I need borrow that tape again and see if I can post some of it for ya'll to check it out.
